Surely I’m not the only one that finds the Mandelbrot Set terrifying? Sometimes I’m scared that it’ll eat me :(
- Yohan25 Feb '10
Looks like a rip in the time-space continuum.
- Jenn25 Feb '10
Ah, math geek humor... gotta love it :)
- plasticuser25 Feb '10
Now that you mention it... That's kind of creepy.
- WC26 Feb '10
Ahhh, how can you fear a mathematical construct that has its own song?

As always, I love the comic! :) - Lord Kap26 Feb '10
I LOLed a lot! ;)
- Soop26 Feb '10
I think it looks adorkable :)
- Jethro26 Feb '10
I think it's the look on cat's face that does it. Just superb :)
- Sec26 Feb '10
Are you licking that plate, or just trying to hide? :-)
- Yenny27 Feb '10
LOL!
Didn't see that one coming he he he - Nojh27 Feb '10
Hmm. Don't get me wrong. I like the goth look. But maybe Shoelace's new friend could experiment with some new colors at its constants. Maybe Li would be less scared of a less... umm. monochromatic fractal :)
- Angelica27 Feb '10
I about peed myself laughing :]
- BlackSilver27 Feb '10
I love that cat.
- Kaitie28 Feb '10
I just read all of your comics in one go, and I think you're brilliant.
Also, the MandelFriend is scary. It looks like it's emanating darkness. - alvaro10 Jun '10
The mandelbrot set has you.
- Andy10 Aug '10
Haha. Oh fractals....
- Totz the Plaid10 Sep '10
Another person immediately thought of the JoCo song after reading this? Nice!
- madaco30 Oct '10
theres a song written for the mandlebrot set? I just changed the lyrics to "do you know the muffin man" slightly. (so lies on the complex plane instead of lives of something lane, and mandlebrot set instead of muffin man)
- madaco30 Oct '10
oh my gosh, I just watched one of the videos there on that link of that song you mentioned! that is an AWEWSOME song!
- DigitalAngel15 Dec '10
I think it looks like a robot, FROM SPACE!!! :P

Fractals! Infinite surface space.
- Jakob23 Mar '11
No, tommy two. The Mandelbrot set has an infinite perimeter, but a finite area.
- Mark25 Jul '11
Amazing. Beautiful. I feel gooey. Not just this comic... the whole work :D
- Jeremy31 Jul '11
Mandel-friend also has an infinite set of mini-clones! (each of which has infinitely more mini-clones than its parent)
- Chris D7 Sep '11
Q: Do you know what the B. in Benoit B. Mandelbrot stands for?
A: Benoit B. Mandelbrot. - Trobby10 Nov '11
It always looked like a bunch of twisty christmas trees clumped together to me. o_o
- Cass W5 Dec '13
LOL nothing like a good Fractal :D The Mandelbot was my introduction to fractals! They are beautiful!
- Maya19 Mar '15
Lol.. Funny, I was thinking about Mandelbrot and here it is!
- ZF_Precious9 May '18
